Tropospheric Communications

The 60 m tower carries the parabolic mirrors of the tropo-equipment on 1.3, 2.3, 10, and 24 GHz as well as other antennas. Right to the tower's foot there is the 6 m dish for 2.3 GHz.
The head of the 60 m tower has the parabolic dishes for 10 and 24 GHz, and for 1.3 and 2.3 GHz. The mirrors are mounted on turret drives from Leopard tanks. The entire high-frequency equipment, including the power amplifier is in the primary focus of each dish. The mountable 10 m high central mast (diameter 50 cm) can be rotated independently and carries antennas for 50, 144, and 430 MHz. Up here are also located sensors of the weather station.
